The Escape

Capybara: Porto Jofre, Pantanal, Brazil
We were following a jaguar who was hunting along the riverbank. We spotted two capybara at the top of a sandy bank up ahead. We moved downriver to get ahead of it and watch to see what happened. Long before the jaguar reached the area the capybara sensed it coming and scrambled down the vertical bank to the water where it is easier for them to escape.
