Polar Bear: Barents Sea near Svalbard
It was a beautiful calm night on the sea ice near Svalbard. There were several polar bears in the area as the last remains of a narwhale carcass was still around and the polar bears were taking turns stuffing themselves before going a bit away to nap and digest. We got in the zodiacs and took a spin around the ice for an eye level look. A couple of the polar bears were curious and came to the edge of the ice to watch us.
