Harlan's Hawk Takeoff
A Harlan's Hawk takes off near sunset. The Harlan's hawk is a color variation of the Red-tailed Hawk. This is a wild bird found at Bolsa Chica wetland. He does have leather straps around his legs that make me wonder if it was captive at one time.
