Brandt's Cormorant Flying with Nesting Material in San Diego California

Brandt’s Cormorant – La Jolla, California
In a highly traffic tourist area in San Diego hundreds of cormorants build their nests along the sandstone seaside cliffs. Most nests are in an area where tourists can only observer from a distance, but a few cormorants choose to nest right below a sidewalk on the edge of the cliff. I visited hoping to find a few chicks hatching, and while I did find some, I also found cormorants bringing in new nesting material to start their nests
