We were in a small icebreaker ship traveling off the Austfonna glacier in Nordaustlandet, Svalbard when our guide Rinie van Muers spotted a tiny bit of yellow in the midst of all the icebergs. None of the passengers could spot the bear until we were quite a ways into the ice. The bear was interested in us and provided quite a show. In this photo she is climbing up an iceberg. At the top of the iceberg she was checking us out. We imagined she was calculating how to get on board.
