It was the golden hour in Lake Clark National Park, Alaska when we spotted a juvenile bear feeding on the sedge grass. I walked into a tidal channel hoping to get a low angle shot of it crossing. Instead, it suddenly caught the scent of another bear scaring it. It ran away from the other bear ending up on the other side of us, but much closer. The bear began to relax and starting eating again. Gradually it headed my way stopping between bites to keep a watchful eye on the other bear.
