Brandt's Cormorant Preparing to Land in La Jolla California
It's nesting season and this Brandt's Cormorant (Phalacrocorax penicillatus) is returning to its cliffside nest in La Jolla California. From a distance the Brandt's Cormorant often look black, but I really liked the way the light picked up the green iridescence.
