We watched this male leopard cub in Lower Zambezi National Park as he explored. Darkness approached and he made his way back to the tree mom was in. His sister was feeding on the leg of a carcass at the base of the tree and fiercely growled and hissed at her brother to keep him away while she ate. The male moved on and climbed the pictured tree about 20 feet away. This was wise as nearby hyenas could smell the carcass and we could hear them approaching. The sister made it up into her tree just before one of the hyenas came in and stole the remains of her meal.
