A jaguar cub and mom interact in the evening twilight. The mom and cub had spent the afternoon apart – mom was napping in the stifling heat, and presumably the cub was doing the same a little ways away. As it neared dusk and cooled off she moved off in the dense vegetation and we could no longer see her. Hoping she would meet up with her cub, we drove to the other side of the densest vegetation and kept looking. Eventually, the keen eyes of our amazing guide spotted both of them. There was an affectionate greeting, grooming, and a little play. Then they got up wandered off into the night.
