Normally jaguars are independent and prefer to stay on their own once they reach adulthood. These two are different. They are still bonded after mom kicked them out a year prior. We had heard about the brothers and were hoping to see them but for several days they were elusive, then near the end of our trip our guide received a radio call that they had been spotted! Despite the heat (near 100 F) the two were laying so that their heads were cuddled against each other. Adorable, but a small tree cut right through the middle of one making it not very photogenic. Perhaps sensing our disappointment (kidding :-) one got up and moved to the left so that we had a clear view of both cats together. We watched for a while as one got up and moved down river for a short time then one by one they headed back into the jungle.
